ancestry.com offers free access to new databases every week. This one might be of interest to the lists. The majority of the entries are for central NY, but I've found some listed for Buffalo & NYC. They're taken from newspapers, so if your ancestors were in central NY or had reason to announce in various NY newspapers, the database is worth a look. I'd also suggest signing up for Ancestry's free newsletter because it contains notices of the new databases as well as some good articles.
