    3. Alice, I very much appreciate your information, Alice -- I was awfully confused and since you work there, the info you gave me means much. Flower has so many very competent volunteers -- we're so lucky when we get there to do research, aren't we? It was news to me that the DAR read only stones that the died date was in the 1880's -- but I'm confused -- did you possibly mean to say "died before and during the 1880's?" There really weren't very many burials after the 1880's if I remember correctly -- I know of only 3 burials since I was a kid -- Alan Phillips who used to be the caretaker for years and years, Marjorie Roacher, who was the Secretary-Treasurer for years and who's died date hasn't been engraved on the stone -- and the most recent, a man by the name of Richardson, I think that was his name -- and we must remember, an attractive stone was put up in honor of the doner of the land, Amasa Fox -- perhaps a replacement stone.
