Carla, I suggest that you email Historical Assn. of South Jefferson at Adams, NY. I volunteer there entering cemetery records into the computer. Debbie Quick is in charge and has great knowledge of the area. The 1811 may present a problem, however, it's worth a try. The children may have lived long enough, if they stayed in the area, to be in the early Jefferson County Journal deceased pages. They have the original newspapers which they makes copies from. In the very early days one had to pay for an obit to be published, therefore, in the earliest newspapers there were only death notices. If she doesn't find anything for you, please let me know. At the Flower Memorial Library in the genealogy dept. @ Watertown, they have NY state census records starting with 1790 thru 1860. Of course you are aware that only head of household names appear prior to 1850. Watertown has index cards for the 1825 & 1835 census for each Town in Jefferson County. Also in NY state there were no required recording of vital statistics prior to 1880. Your ancestors sure were there rather early. My Claflin ancestor came with father-in-law Ebenezer Brown to Adams in 1800 and settled south of the village near a large creek, as they all did in those days.
