I have seen reference on this web-site to a Howard American Cheese Factory in Stone Mills. The proprietor was listed as David Schell. I think the Schells must have purchased the factory from a Howard. I am searching B. V. Howard (Ballard Volney). He is listed in the 1870 census as a cheesemaker living in Stone Mills. If anyone has any information on this Howard Cheese Factory or the Howard family who may have owned it, would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks, Joan Bray
