I am trying to learn more about William Cranage,shown in shown in 1860 census for Henderson, Jefferson County. I am trying to find out where he came from. The census shows Ireland. He became a citizen of US 17 Dec 1859 in Jefferson County. His wife Ann Lane died between 1860 and 1863. They had 2 children on the 1860 census and I can't make out the names. Possibly 1 is George. Cranage remarried Mary Ann Harris, in Jan 1865 at Henderson. She was the daughter of Hiram Harris and Odesissa Clarke, born 26 Dec 1832 in Henderson. Hiram Harris was originally from New Hampshire, and Odissa Clarke from NY State. Any connections on these lines would be appreciated. William Cranage and Mary Harris had a Daughter on 20 Dec 1865, also Mary. The family moved moved West to Irish Hollow,Waterloo, Grant County, Wisconsin, and farmed.
