Looking for burial place of Asa M. Bishop born 4 Mar 1848 Sandy Creek, Oswego, NY died from injuries suffered in a milk wagon accident in Ellisburg, Jefferson, NY on 8 Oct 1877. lived with wife Emma and her parents William & Polly Scott LIttlefield in Ellisburg on farm across from Union Academy. (Emma taught school there). 1850 census he is 2 years old, with parents Wm. Bishop & Cynthia Sildona Maxham Bishop in Sandy Creek, Oswego, NY. In 1860 he is 12 years old and still with parents in Sandy Creek. In 1870 he is 22 years old and with lst wife Emma Twitchell in Sandy Creek. Emma Twitchell Bishop died before 14 Aug 1873 when Asa married Emma Loticia Littlefield in Ellisburg, Jefferson, NY. Asa and Emma Littlefield Bishop had one daughter, Ruth Minnie, born 23 Oct 1876. According to a newspaper account of the accident, dated Wed. 26 Sept 1877, the accident was "last Thursday", which would be 20 Sept 1877. Asa was carried to the Littlefield farm after the accident with little hope of his survival. He died, I assume at the farm in Ellisburg, on 8 Oct 1877. After Asa's death, Emma and Ruth Minnie moved to Michigan and both are buried there. I have not located an obituary or burial place for Asa. Asa's parents and a brother, Abner, are buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Sandy Creek, Oswego, NY. Asa's in laws, Wm Littlefield and Polly Scott are buried in Woodside Cemetery in Belleville/Ellisburg, Jefferson, NY Sheila, NY
