    3. Everts History of Jefferson County states: "In 1799 a great number came into this section to look for lands... Among these was John W. Collins, who took up about six hundred acres of land, including the since-known "Dr. Green place," the "Melvin Moffatt farm," and the "Kilborn farm." Upon the Dr. Green place he afterwards put up the first framed house,--a large two-story building which stood for many years." Does anyone know the location of the Dr. Green Place, or the Melvin Moffat farm and the Kilborn farm? Does anyone know anything of the first framed house?
