Dear listers, I hope this isn't redundant. Our largest cemetery is now up and running, in a manner of speaking. Brookside, town of Watertown, is at http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyjeffer/brkdex.htm You can access it from the front or index page, from the cemetery index page, and as of this morning from the Bartlett Watertown page, which is a mistake, I now realize, since the Bartletts did not work on that file. The volunteers who did the work are listed at the top of the Brookside index page. A complaint, and certainly not the first, sent me to correct broken links on cemdex, our cemetery index at http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyjeffer/cemdex.htm Please, if anyone has any trouble with this file, will you let me know at once so that it can be fixed. And finally (for now) our first eagle eyed proofer for the Jeff Co site made a couple of observations that sent me scurrying. Updates to the Town of Watertown cemetery sites, Brookside, Calvary, and Glenwood have never been uploaded. The right hand never told the left hand, or vice versa, where to find them. As of this morning, they are with the Bartlett Cemetery files where they should have been since January of 2005. Please admire http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyjeffer/bartwatn.htm Not all the updates for the Brookside cemetery are on the Brookside site yet. You have to look at both sites, Brookside and Town of Watertown, to get the latest information. We will be changing all of Brookside to the main site once we have plowed through all the updates. By the way, we all owe a debt of gratitude to Gus Rogers, who adds the data from obituaries from the Watertown Daily Times to his vast data base, and sends to the Jeff Co Genweb site each year's harvest.
