Near Rochester, NY, I believe in Monroe Co, there is a town of Leroy. In Jefferson County, NY, there is a town of LeRay. The capital "R" is no longer officially used, but old habits die hard, and it does not affect alphabeting lists. On the other hand, the capital or upper case is a flag which announces that it is the place in Jefferson County.
