The last two batches are up, and surnames are still coming in. That's good news for us! I am guessing (I didn't take the time to count) that nearly 100 names have been added in the past two weeks. Pat sure got things stirred up on the list! Now I am getting replies like this one: Delivery failed 48 attempts: [email protected] I cannot emphasize too strongly that in order for your surname to have results for you, people must be able to use your email address. That is the main reason I ask you to list your address next to your name and surname. I am not, and I repeat NOT computer savvy. I am willing to help, but you must make things easy for me. Looking at the above address, it is probably part of the 2 screens full of (to me) garbage in front of every email I download, and I guessed the wrong bit...on an email that did not contain a return address. One more thing: I admit to being a suspicious old woman, and when your spam filter asks me to contact you the second time to get information to you, it's not going to happen unless I know you and we have corresponded before. I have sent out acknowledgements for all of those surnames mentioned above, and to send out two letters...it's past my bedtime. If you want information from me, send me a note telling me that you have a spam filter and ask me to register, and that's a note from you, not your automated machine. One last bit: I'm receiving information indicating that some of you are not familiar with <http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyjeffer/> Check it out. It was the proud parent of this list back when the list was first formed. Pay attention to the FAQs. Hey, you might even get a clue to your loved and lost! Nan Dixon
