    3. Nan: This is sooo sad. I had no idea they were making such big changes. I toot the horn of Jeff. Co. Rootsweb all the time. Shall I not do the abstracting for Antwerp that I was going to do? I, like many others, feel like a fish out of water here. You have done a marvelous and dedicated service for Rootsweb. The phrase, "No good deed goes unpunished" comes to mind. On to the next project. What will we do next? OR am I misinterpreting something? Don't let this ruin your holidays. You are needed elsewhere apparently. I applaud you and your devotion to your work - Diana ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nan Dixon" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, December 09, 2006 7:22 PM Subject: Re: [NYJEFFER] Message Boards - Jeff. 3. I've said for several years Ancestery.com was out to take over the Genealogy hobby and looks like the've done it.... I know they got their hooks into the Mormon library too, soo how much longer will that be free ? Would like to add my name to Diane's & Linda's sentiments. 3. I'm not familiar with the issue with the message boards but I would be willing to bet that Ancestry has no interest at all in "taking over the genealogy hobby." I'm sure their primary objective, like any commercial enterprise, is simply in making a profit. They might make mistakes from time to time but I think that any action they take can be attributed to the goal of increasing or insuring their profitability. 3. I think Nan is just out of the message boards not the Jefferson web page.
