Hi folks, I will be making an update to the Jefferson County NY Pioneer Portraits Project website soon and I thought I'd remind veterans of this list as well as newcomers of this resource: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ny/county/jefferson/ppp/ This website contains freely-available pictures of people who lived in Jefferson County prior to 1865. Most of the pictures are generously donated for display by individuals from their family's own collection, and some are from old books and websites. There are currently over 750 individuals pictured on the site! If you'd like to have a photo of someone who lived in the county before 1865 included on the website, please send a scan of the picture to [email protected] -- include the person's name, year of birth and death of known and the town in which they lived, please.
