Nan & Mark: SPEAKING OF PICTURES.... I have in my possession about 22 fisches obtained from the NEGHS several years ago of a book written by a Dorothy Verrill of the MALTBY FAMILY who resided in the Rutland area... What puzzles me is that there was space allotted for pictures but none are there, and no one seems to know anything about them or the book ! My GGGrandpappy Gideon S. Hall married Lois Maltby dau of Rev. Joseph and Hannah Maltby in 1837 and moved to Rutland. Then they moved down to Volney,Oswego,NY and, after the 1850 census they disappeared off the face of the earth ! I would gladly donate this collection to the good of the searchers of this area, of course hoping to learn more about my kin.... The Maltby family as I have found extends to the Royalty of England and beyond.
