I am looking for information about David Nelson who supposedly was a surgeon during the war of 1812. His wife was Sophia Patrick. His daughter Margaret Nelson married Henry Cowles Dorchester who ran a grist mill in Limerick. I have searched the Jefferson County website on usgenweb ( which is really helpful, by the way) but cannot find any information about the Nelsons. Does anyone have a suggestion where to look next?
