That is a great find Mark. I was wondering where you found some records, as I have found in my research that I also have a great, great, great relative that served in the war of 1812 at Sackets as well. My notes say that he was a gunsmith at Sackets. By the way, I live in Memphis now, but grew up I. Jefferson County and that was a place we visited last year, because I think it is so pretty up there. Also climbed up on those rocks on Rt. 3 at Henderson, to take pictures of the water. A little off subject there, sorry. I am looking for information on Robert Adams born about 1776, d. 12/15/1849, married Nancy b. about 1777 d. 12/26/1866. My notes say that Robert came from Scotland, was a gunsmith at Sackets Harbor during the war of 1812 and was a pioneer in Redwood (came from Conn.) I have looked at the town of Alexandria under the first settlers but do not see his name listed. Any suggestions? Thanks, Laura
