Looking for information of a possible town named Fowler in Jefferson Co. NY. My GGreatgrandfathers civil war documents list him as being born in Jefferson NY. in what is hard to read but looks like a town of Fowler. I also have another source listing him as being born in Fowler NY. but no mention of Jefferson Co. I checked the list of old town names on this site but didn't find anything. He was born in February of 1829 if this date helps. Can anyone help me on this. Deanna hunter@altelco.net
