Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.jefferson/12452.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Thanks so much for your help - I seem to recall a story about Frank leaving his first wife and moving away from the Carthage/Wilna area, then re-marrying. My dad is from the first wife's line so no one can recall much about Frank or his parents. Oral tradition says Frank had three brothers - Hosia, Charlie, and Leon, but I have yet to confirm this through census records. I did find, however, census records confirming that Hosia, Charlie, and Leon all existed - just nothing that shows them all together, as a family, or who their parents were... I will keep looking!!
I apologise a bit for mentioning this, because it has been brought up before, but these gatewayed messages that show up on the listserve are more or less there in a vacuum. The message below clearly is in response to something, but I don't have a clue what it might be. I'm simply not sure if it's efficacious to transport single messages from a forum to a listserve if there are no references to what family lines are being discussed or what the preceeding messages were. I don't know who wrote what appears below, I don't know what family line(s) it might be referring to and I'm getting a lot of email like this that basically say, "Thanks, that helps a lot" and I really don't have the time to run them all back to the forum to determine if it's something I need or can offer advice on. It just seems to me that the two should be separate. -- Bob Forsythe Permit Project Manager Endangered Habitats Conservancy 619/584-4143 Quoting "[email protected]" <[email protected]>: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.jefferson/12452.1.1/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > Thanks so much for your help - I seem to recall a story about Frank > leaving his first wife and moving away from the Carthage/Wilna area, then > re-marrying.
