That is an unusual name. I looked in heritagequest.com for any year, any state and it came up with a Sprague Adams age 55 in 1870 in the town of Lee (Onieda county). He would have been born abt 1815 which is pretty close to 1813 (esp. considering a handwritten 3 and 5 are similar). This Mr. Adams has a wife Lydia age 50, son George age 28, Peter 16, 'L.D' age 14, Frank 12, Irwin 10 and a daughter Sarah age 8. Sprague and son George list 'house carpenter' as occupation. I get to heritagequest via my local library. Your local library may also have a subscription that you can access from home with a valid library card number. There was also a Sprague Adams listed in Maine. That Sprague Adams also shows up in the 1880 online census transcription at www.familysearch.org. He was b 1828. You may want to search from www.familysearch.org (there is more than just the census to search but I went directly to the census expecting to see the 1870 Adams 10 years older). Also from www.rootsweb.com 'family trees' link you can often find good info.
