A beautifully preserved coverlet with the the following information: "Cheresa Wever 1839, Jefferson Co., NY" was found by my husband's cousin in her mother's things at her death. It led us to finding Silas and Elizabeth Wilcox who resided in Jefferson Co. mid 1840's to early 1850's before they moved westward. We have no idea what the connection to Wever is, however.
