    1. Re: [NYJEFFER] Littlefield Researchers

Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: Wallace Littlefield deserted his wife sometime before June, 1884 when his wife and children returned to Jefferson County, N. Y. Most researchers have considered him "never heard from again." Shirley, have you ever questioned this "desertion" etc.? I find Wallace Littlefield in every census of Michigan. He never moves from Genesse County. He and Mary Arnold have 3 daughters, starting in 1882. I am trying to find their marriage record (their marriage lasts over 35 years). He states on census he was married 2x (not denying his marriage to Susan). He doesn't appear to be hiding. Then you have the grandmother of Susan's children (Wallace's mother Polly) denying them or her any inheritance in her will. Then you have the obit of his sister Emma saying that he is living in Flint, Michigan (again, not hiding). It all seems very strange to me. I have a feeling there is more to this story.
