Kurt got the information from me for Natural Bridge. This was listed on one of the son's draft registrations. I do not have any information on birth, marriage, or anything on Elizabeth. The family "legend" is that Elizabeth was a Blackfoot Indian and her name was "Americanized" to Sweenie. We don't know if that is true. I hope to find something when I travel to New York this summer. Possibly her parents names are on a deed for property Fabian and Elizabeth owned in LeRay. Possibly I can find baptism records for the children with her maiden name on it. I don't know what else to do. Thank you again, Barbara Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. If not, I can post some options to help you try to dig one up. I noticed on www.familysearch.org that someone named Kurt Inscoe HAHN (California) has her birth location as Natural Bridge, Jefferson County. Are you familiar with this area at all or have you lived away? If you aren't familiar, I can give you some location context. ~Tracy P.S. My e-mail is TracyLRobertson19@yahoo.com. Carter had a sister named Kathleen or "Kate". I am trying to learn more about her and hope there are a few folks who still might remember her. She was born in 1902 on Wellesley Island and lived in Omar. Her first marriage was to a Mr. Abbott whose first name I don't know. He was a fisherman and taxidermist and apparently had a television show for a while. Kate's second husband was Nelson Philo or Philow, whom she married about 1968 I think. for a time, they ran a sandwich stand on the roadside for passersby across from their house. Kate was a nurse who evidently had a great reputation for her homemade remedies, especially her cough syrup. She worked for a Dr. Pilpel at one time. She died in 1984 and is buried on Wellesley Island. You can see pictures of her and her second husband on my website at http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~legends/carter.html#floyd Thanks in advance for any help in advance!
