In the 1854 will of Benjamin Pool (son of Olive Pool) he lists his siblings and their places of residence and the list includes Jonathan Pool of Ellisburg. I have not been able to locate a John or Jonathan Pool anywhere in Jefferson Co. that seems to fit this family; all the children were born between 1788 and 1808, primarily in RI. It seems odd that Jonathan would be listed in 2 separate wills 10 yrs apart but not appear in the 1850 or 1855 census or family cemetery. Does anyone have a John Pool in need of a family? I'd pretty much given up on genealogy because it was getting rather boring and thankless - looking forward to a much needed change. Maybe your new site will come in handy!!!
