Glydie, I too was following the DAR thread with some interest, although for quite a different reason. I have been researching, in depth, the various branches of the Mabie family in New York through the 17th and 18th centurys over the past year. I have found it useful, on occasion, to check into various DAR lineages, if for no other reason than to know where to look for additional data. In doing so, I have found that, while many look accurate, in other cases there are errors in ancestors names (nothing major that would ultimately impact a lineage.) My questions: Is there any way of finding out which lineages have been corrected, questioned or are under scrutiny? Since I am clearly an "outsider", is there a way to simply send someone the data that demonstrates the errors? (I really don't want to spend a lot of time on something that really is none of my business) To put this in perspective, I have run across 2 lineages that say that an ancestor was named John Peter Mabie, when in fact his name was Peter Mabie, and 3 others that each have a different spelling for the name of the wife of Simon Mabee, and none agree with the church records that I have found (although they are all somewhat close.) So you can see, these are not major issues. Thanks for your time. Steve Mabie
