    3. Often there are records of cemeteries the DAR has taken some years ago. Such records may be found in such places as the Montgomery County (Fonda) library, and in Johnstown. Cruising cemeteries is often disappointing. A local historical guru, or Town Historian may be helpful. I find one of the most productive ways to ferret data is to find the sexton of the cemetery, or people taking care of the cemetery. Their very presence is because they are interested and usually well versed in the graves of the cemetery.
