The Putnams I have been in pursuit were first, residents of the Town of Florida, then the Town of Glen, and then the Town of Warren. The Putnams seemed to be of at least two origins, Pottnam, Bodmann, or Putman, possibly Dutch, or German, and the New England Putnam/Putman who prob. came to the Mohawk Valley in 1800 (plus or minus a decade). Although the Town of Minden is in the general area (between the Towns of Florida and Glen, and Warren) this doesn't seem to specific enough considering the large absence of other data. If you are related to a HOUSE family of the Mohawk Valley, are they of Palatine, or of New England origin? r.a.d.
