My mistrake -- I meant the R.U.C. history and Cemetery Records of the Town of Russia. (The Town of Russia once a part of the Town of Norway.) I find neither Easton, or Mabee names in these records. The Russia Union Church, est.before 1818, built a Church 1818, at Russia Corners (still there). I don't think the Church is active now. Much migration from that area to Lewis and Jefferson County ca, 1820 - 1840. The population mingled with adjacent areas of Remsen and Barneveld north and west of the Town of Russia. A bunch of EASTONs found in Depauville Cemetery, Town of Clayton, NY, e.g. Wilbur E., (1818-1866); Town of Pamelia: Charles Easton, 1829-1914. No clue of Mabee family. randy -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Saturday, May 08, 1999 7:14 PM Subject: Re: [NYHERKIM-L] John Mabee, Norway, NY >In a message dated 5/8/99 8:38:53 PM Central Daylight Time, >[email protected] writes: > >> Have you >> checked the Russia Union Church records ? >Randy, > >Thanks.
