I am seeking any information on a PIERCE family in or adjacent to Herkimer County ca 1820. My Solomon Terry Pierce was born 1821 in NY. He married Catherine PETERY ca 1842. She was born in Little Falls, Herk. Co. 1828, but cannot find her parents. Believe she is not related to the German Petries, but an English line. There was a Thomas PIERCE listed in Herk. Co. census 1810 NY429. Also a Reuben PIERCE 1835 in Litchfield, Herk. Co. As one of Solomon's children was named Reuben this might be a connection. Also, another clue might be the middle name TERRY. Apparently there were many in NY and it could be Solomon's mother's maiden name. This is all I have but could sure use some help from anyway researching Pierces or who is near Herkimer that might do a lookup. Thank you.
