I am trying to locate any information concerning my great-grandfather, Richard George, who came from England in the 1800's and settled in New York State area of Amsterdam. I have a letter dated 1911 from one of his daughters from his first marriage. Her name was Lucy George Whipple and she married a C.W. Whipple of Amsterdam. My g-grandfather moved to Georgia in the late 1800's to work in the gold mines down here. I believe that he was from the Cornish region of England but need much more help.
