Hi all, I have hit a brick wall with these 2 individuals. Does anyone know anything about other Lotridge/Lothridge or Runyan/Runyon families in the Herkimer area? : Charles Runyan/Runyon & Elinore/Eleanor Lothridge/Lotridge (dates & parents unknown) Children: 1 Elisa "Ella" Runyon (09nov1828 Herkimer Co., NY - ?) Baptismal sponsors were: Daniel Harter & Catharina Dachstader 2 Charles Frederic Runyon (29dec1829 Herkimer Co., NY - 19jan1896 Buffalo, NY) married (1860 in Herkimer Co.) Alvira Beech Meyers (28jul1832 Cedarville, Herkimer Co., NY - 15mar1876 Castorland, NY) Charles Jr.'s Baptismal sponsors were: Frederic & Catharina Dachstader Charles Jr was born in Herkimer & later moved to Castorland, NY. He was a lumber dealer & farmer on the 52 acre plot known as Runyons Landing. This was located on the south east section of the Black River near Castorland in upstate New York. They owned 2 steam sawmills, 7 houses and employed about 50 people. I know the Lotridge family goes back about a hundred years in the Little Falls area. Does anyone have info on them?
