Kate & List: I have a James NELSON, probably born NY State, he married an "Unknown KLOCK." They had a son born June 21, 1877 in Lapeer, Lapeer County, MI named James Wesley NELSON. He married Nettie Mae HERRICK and they have ties to Davison, Genesee County, MI and to Richfield Twp, Genesee Co., MI. Michele <[email protected]> replied to a recent response by RLHerrick to a different posting and indicated that "Unknown Klock" may have been Annie Linfoot KLOCK or Annie Klock LINFOOT, but she was not sure. It seems reasonable that this could be the same family of KLOCK. The Richfield Twp area was not all that greatly populated in the early 1800s. Do you, or any one else, recognize any of those noted above? Some of the surnames that I am working on for that area include: HERRICK, ALLEN, BAKER, BLACKMAN, BULLIS, COONEY, HALL, HEWITT, KING, LANE, McNAMARA, NELSON, PATTASON, PATTERSON, PINGEL, SEATON, WORDEN, YOUNG.
