I have found nothing to prove Sylvanus is the father of William except the one note from the church in Russia, Herkimer County. I've been on the ALLEN list for many years with no luck there either. There was an Amos Allen who married a Lydia Bryant.....but I haven't dug deeper into this line. Everything I have on them stops at William and his children. I descend from his son Luther.
