    3. Looking for information on John Buchanan and Sarah (Sally) Furman. John was born in 1794. Sarah was born in 1792. Place and date of marriage is not known. I can only identify one child, my 2nd great-grandmother, Mary Ann E. Buchanan who was born in German Flatts, Herkimer Co., New York on 14 January 1817. A George Oswell Buchanan settled in Herkimer Co. about 1800. I believe that he was the father of John. I can place John and family in the following locations within the noted time period. John served in the War Of 1812. 1819 - Moved from German Flatts, Herkimer Co., New York to Jefferson Co., New York cir. 1825 - Moved from Jefferson Co., New York to Meridian, Cayuga Co., New York 1830-1840 - John and family are listed in the Meridian, Cayuga Co., New York Census.
