I'm sorry I didn't offer enough information before. Maria SHAW married, about 1821, Enos LASHUA, b. about 1795 in Quebec, Canada. They were in Herkimer Co., married, in the 1825 state census. They had four daughters, all born in Herkimer County: Jane, b. abt. 1822, m. William H. ROWBOTHAM; Emaline C. (my ancestor), b. abt. 1824, m. Ebenezer BULLOCK; Sarah, b. abt. 1832, m. Anson PARROTT; and Amanda b. abt. 1836, m. Frank JACKSON. The family moved, about 1849 to Leyden, Lewis Co., NY and eventually to Oneida County. I found 12 Sahw families listed in the 1825 Herkimer Co. state census and was hoping to find someone who had more information on them so I can determine which might be Maria's family. None were listed in Salisbury where Maria and Enos were living. Not being familiar with Herkimer Co. I don't know which town might be close by. There were Shaw families in Warren, Russia, Columbia, Herkimer, and Manheim. Thanks for any help you can give. Cheryl
