The folks at the Herkimer Co. Surogate Court are very accomodating. I was there last fall and , yes, they only charged me 25 cents a page for copying costs. The Herkimer Library charges 10 cents a page. But Beware! The Herkimer Village Clerk's office charges the state approved rates for records, starting at $11.00 for birth or death certificates even if you know the exact date.
