    3. Meddilu -- It's a lot like comparing two libraries of the same size in two different but nearby cities. (However, Herkimer is a Village, not a city.)\ Sorry I can't be more specific, but for heaven's sake, don't miss that one. Well worth the time. Are you a Palatine settler descendant, or were they from New Engrland? I presume you are well versed in the one at Fonda as this is the Mecca for early Palatine settler descendants. If you need more aid in what's where, etc. please let me know. randy ----- Original Message ----- From: Mary Lu Keef Sent: Wednesday, October 23, 2002 4:41 PM To: NYHERKIM-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NYHERKIM] Census look-ups Randy.... Oh dear, I guess I had better mend my wicked ways! May I ask how the holdings of the Public Library differ from those of the Historical Society? Thanks.... Mary Lu > Mary Lu > 'Tis a sin not to visit the Public Libary genealogy room in Herkimer if you are working on genealogy. I hope you mend your wicked ways because this is a really fine place to spend an hour. randy > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Mary Lu Keef > Sent: Tuesday, October 22, 2002 8:38 PM > To: NYHERKIM-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [NYHERKIM] Census look-ups > > Hi Pat, > > I'm sorry....I didn't realize, and certainly didn't want to impose.
