Regarding post by POLHEMJF: I've searched in vain for John and Persis Shaw in this county during this time period and have found only one thing...a deed...1823...with their names and the names of George Monroe and wife. I am very interested in knowing more general information like this, in hopes of finding clues that will lead me to knowing more about my ancestors. If anyone has this information, please post it for all. POLHEMJF@aol.com wrote: > Russia, in the 1810-1830 time period, received many families from Dutchess > County,NY.
