Joel, During your research, did you run across any info on the Perkins family? M y family moved to central NY just after the Revolution. In the era of 1890-1900, MY grandfather lived on Frankfort hill. This is between Ilion and Utica in Herkimer county. His name is Ezra Alva Perkins. I'm not sure the New York records will show a middle name of Alva, he used it after moving to New Bern, N.C. He was raised by someone other than his parents.
