    1. [NYHERKIM] Walrath again
    2. Hello, some of you been very kind and have responded to my query re Robert Walrath and family. Here is some additional info: I've seen a John Adam born 1803 married to Polly. This John does not appear to be the one I'm looking for. Robert's siblings (all birthdates approximate) were: Christian, 1844 Lany, 1845 Robert, 1846 Reuben, 1848 Charles, 1849 Herman, 1852 Alice (Sarah?) 1853 Sarah (Alice?) 1853 The men in this family were all stone masons. John A. took his family to Syracuse by 1880. Can't find Robert or his family in 1880 on the census; however, city directories show them in Little Falls. Robert's brothers do not seem to have married, were still living at home in 1880. I think this is a non-researched line of the Walrath families of the Palatines who settled the Mohawk Valley. They are all around the right area at the right time. According to Robert's death record in Little Falls, his father was Adam Walrath and his mother Margaret who was born in Schoharie Co. I found John A. with Margaret in the 1850, 1860 and 1880 censuses. Just haven't gotten the 1870 census as yet. I also have read recently that the name Adam is a form of Adolph. There are also John Adolph Walraths about that time. John A., Adam, John Adolph are all names of some of the original men who bought pews for the St. Johns Church, the church the town of St. Johnsville was named for. Does any of this mean anything to anyone? Thanks again to all of you who tried to help. Elsie
