    3. From what I can tell, according to my 4g-grandfather's pension papers, Northampton was in Montgomery Co. back in 1844, but has since "moved" (if you can move a town - HA) to Fulton Co. It is supposed to be on the outskirts of Northville. Northampton is listed as a town under the Fulton Co. Rootsweb.com web site.
