Aaron moved from Rehoboth, Mass. at the age of seven years, to Cheshire, Mass., was ordained minister on Feb. 25, 1803 at Northampton, N. Y., was forty years Baptist minister, and baptized 600 people, united in marriage 250 couples, and preached 1000 funeral sermons. In 1843 he asked for a letter of dismission, and it being granted, he went to Danville, Iowa, and died at Tuscarora, Ohio. Martin and Alva Seamans, sons of Rev. Aaron, were baptized Jan. 23, 1824. Martin was a member of the financial committee of the church on July 21, 1838. On July 13, 1839, a Journeyman's letter was granted to Rev. Aaron. Alva had a letter of dismission in May 1843. Rev. Aaron's daughter, Mary, had a son who was a minister. Rev. Aaron was a man of great ability and influence. The above record was from Rev. John T. Barber, pastor at Northville, N. Jan. 16, 1711/12. 12 Josiah, b. It is claimed that the early descendants of Thomas and Susannah owned about all of Scituate and Foster, R. I., they were all industrious, earnest people, and affiliated with the Baptist Church. Thomas was a school teacher and carpenter; lived in Swansea, Mass., in 1687, and this is also the birth place of his eleven children. His three sons (Thomas and family of nine children, John and family of ten children, James and family of eleven children), with Round-Wood-Hopkins-and Cole families, moved to Scituate, R.
