Prior to 1798, the Town of Whitestown (now in Oneida County) was part of German Flatts. In 1798 Oneida County was formed and Whitestown became it's own township. The towns of Frankfort, Litchfield & Warren were also part of the original German Flatts but were split off in 1792 (before your search period). Also be aware that the Town of Little Falls was part of German Flatts until 1829. Some of your research might need to be done there. The official records of Herkimer County were lost in a fire around 1804 (?) but, of course, New York didn't require birth and death registration until the very late 1800's. My best guess for baptism and marriage records would be to know the name of the church or try the Herkimer Co. Historical Society. If I can help in any way, let me know.
