Kathy, I had written to you previously about the above. I don't have any information on Isaac, but I have two copies of death certificates for Margaret. If you would like a copy of them I can send them to you. I don't know of any children they had, I haven't found any information on this. I will keep your address on file and if I get any more information I will forward to you. Lisa Boyle *********************************** The only disability in life is a bad attitude. Scott Hamilton

I am trying to locate any information concerning my great-grandfather, Richard George, who came from England in the 1800's and settled in New York State area of Amsterdam. I have a letter dated 1911 from one of his daughters from his first marriage. Her name was Lucy George Whipple and she married a C.W. Whipple of Amsterdam. My g-grandfather moved to Georgia in the late 1800's to work in the gold mines down here. I believe that he was from the Cornish region of England but need much more help. Thanks, Kathy George [email protected]
Hello, I'm looking for any info on the Pierce family in Montgomery Co. in the early 1800s. Specifically ELIZA JANE PIERCE b. 1820 in Charleston, NY - d. 1901 in Ohio. She married Pliny S. Palmer. I'm trying to find her parents and/or siblings. If anyone has any info or ideas on how I might do this it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance Debbie [email protected]
I would be interested in communicating with anyone who is researching the early Morehouse families of Herkimer Co. The earliest member appears to have been one John Morehouse, who died before 1809, and it appears he had at least two sons, Czar D. Morehouse (who is later found in St. Lawrence Co.) and Levi C. Morehouse, who served in the War of 1812 in a Herkimer Co. unit. Below is a synopsis of my family, which I believe is connected to these Morehouses: MOREHOUSE. Pierpont Morehouse was born between 1775 and 1780, location of birth unknown. He ws a carpenter by trade, but does not appear to have ever achieved prosperity. He first appears in the 1820 tax records for Burlington Twp., Bradford Co., PA, and appears in those records (except for gaps in 1824 and 1835) through 1837, as well as in the tax records for nearby Springfield Twp. for 1829 through 1834. He is listed, along with others in his household, in the 1820 and 1830 censuses for Bradford Co., PA. His mortgage, as well as that of his (probable) son John, was foreclosed upon during the Panic of 1837; he thereafter disappears from view. Children identified so far include Abram, born 14 September 1829 in PA, presumably Bradford Co., and probably John, born 16 February 1810 in NY, Samuel B., born 16 June 1821 in PA, and Joseph P., born 5 February 1826 in PA. There were perhaps a number of daughters, indicated as girls or young women in his household in the 1820 and 1830 censuses, as yet unidentified. Family tradition is that Pierpont's wife was of German ancestry and part Mohawk Indian. A biography of John states that his ancestors were early settlers of New York, of English and "Dutch" ancestry. John' later lived in Herkimer Co., NY, where there were other Morehouse families (who had married descendants of the early Palatine German settlers of that area). I suspect these are part of my family. Dave Morehouse Hopkins, Minnesota

I am seeking information in order to connect these two families. I have none. If you have anything at all that shows a Pierce married to a Terry in NY, I'd appreciate the data. Thank you.
Are there any Frank or Meyer references in the book, please. Roberta - >>From the book "The Mohawk Valley Rasbachs and Allied Families" by Hazel >Patrick.
Seeking any information on the shadowy James JOHNSON, born about 1740- 1742 in New York, probably in Mohawk Valley but possibly along the Hudson River. He is alleged to have been related to Sir William JOHNSON, British Superintendent of Indian Affairs, although that has not been conclusively demonstrated. He fought on the American side in the Revolution, initially in the Dutchess County Militia under Jacobus Swartwout. He may have lived around Johnstown NY for a period after the War. James had at least one son, named Thomas (b. circa 1762, d. Fulton Cty., NY, 1854). James' death date and name of wife unknown. Known descendants have lived in NY, IL, PA and perhaps OH. Tom Johnston [email protected]
Am interested in anything which can be provided concerning the surname STALL in NY state before 1850. My greatgreatgrandfather Thomas JOHNSON married Almira Ann STALL, who was born in Fairfield, Herkimer County, NY in 1807. She and her husband lived in Fulton County, NY for about 30 years prior to 1855, and then moved to Chicago. She died there in 1886. There were a lot of STAHLs as well as STALLs around Herkimer, Fulton and Montgomery Counties, so the surnames may have been variants of each other. Tom Johnston [email protected]
