    3. Gail, here are a few you might find useful. Often, the bibliographies in various texts can be helpful, also. Many of the books are available from the publishers. Some may be available via the Public Libary Interlibrary Loan Service anywhere in the United States. If the book is not obtainable, often an extract, title page, and index are available. The index may prompt further requests for extracts to be copied from the book. 3. Hi Gail, Barker has pulled a lot of material together from many sources. Information is from Pearson's books, church baptism and marriage records, family histories and any place else he could find data. One problem is that there are a number of errors. The preferred source for Palatine or Mohawk information is Henry Z Jones's books. "Palatine Families of NY" and "More Palatine Families". These books are available in many libraries. Another source for information is KINSHIP. Art Kelly has published many baptism and marriage books for the eastern New York area. His web address is www.kinshipny.com The next source is published genealogies. At least 250 families have published one or more family histories. A number of them are available from the Herkimer Historical Society. 400 Main St. Herkimer, NY 13350.

    3. FOX -- There is an authorative FOX genealogy published last year. "THE MOHAWK VALLEY FOXES" by Donald P. Fox. 9 Maple Street, Pittsford, NY 14534 also at [email protected] His book shows, on page 1, Johann Philip Fox and his lovely spouse, Anna Catharine (Neitzert) Fox. Due to the custom of attaching "Anna" and "Johann" as given names, this family had five daughters as "Anna.." (...Elizabeth, ...Margaret, ...Margaret, ...Elizabeth, and ...Catharine.)
