I have some HELMERS married to KELLERs in Jefferson county probably abt the 1830 - 1845 time frame. They are sisters to my ggggrandmother Elizabeth HELMER. They would be Louisa HELMER b. 13 Sep 1834, who married Aaron KELLER b. abt 1826, the son of Jacob KELLER b. abt 1794; and her sister Catherine HELMER b. 7 Jun 1818 married to Rueben KELLER b. abt 1818. I don't know if Aaron and Rueben were brothers. The HELMERs and the KELLERs appear to have been neighbors in Evans Mills, Jeff., New York. Do any of these names fit with your Herkimer names. It might help to know that the HELMERs were born in Fairfield, Herk., New York before migrating to Jefferson County between 1835 and 1840. Let me know if there's a connection.
