As I have been doing my research I have come across a question that I know my fellow Greene County researchers can probably answer. I have found that an ancestor in Western Massachusetts served in the Revolutionary War as a guard in Vermont for 2 3 month terms, I also found an ancestor who eventually resided in Greene County served in the War in Connecticut for the period of the war, but I have not been able to determine if the ancestor who resided in Schenectady during the Revolutionary war ever served. Can anyone tell me what percentage of males served in the war? And is it possible that none of the males in a family from Schenectady area ever served in the revolutionary war.
