Just a sideline heads up to the person interested in Schermerhorn - I also belong to the Rootsweb Dutch Colonies mailing list, which you might be interested in. Within the last 2 days a member residing in Seattle wrote in regarding her Schermerhorn bible. It's probably not the ebay bible though as she was asking for help with restoration, but she might be a "distant cousin" for research exchange. The focus of the list is basically of the early Dutch settlers in the NY/NJ areas. Thanks Sheila, I sent and email and had an answer already. The Bible belonged to Schermerhorn daughter originaly. She did check all her files but did not find Peter Schermerhorn or Rachael Edmonds Schermerhorn or any of their children. Thanks for the tip on Dutch Colonies.
