I too am interested in the Hallenbecks, although I am not positive if mine were from Athens or Coxsackie... What I am trying to do is bridge the gap between what I know and the older info... The farthest back I am able to go right now is as follows: Casper J. HALLENBECK born c.1793/1797 married Maria HALSEY born c.1805. They were married 1 Jan 1825 Ref. Church Bethlehem. Casper died 23 MAr 1885 and Maria died 21 MAr 1888. Both buried Chapple Cemetery, West Athens. Children included: Magdaline born 3 Jan 1826 William T. born c.1834 married Catherine ? Jane Ann born c. 27 Jul 1837 married Smith Quick James R. born 31 Aug 1839 married Harriet ? (he was my 3x great-grandfather).
