In Athens, I have the following families although they also moved to/from other places. BROOKS Tons of Brooks in Athens. The connections are easy to see in some, tougher in others. Which ones? BROWN I see a few here. BRYANT I don't see any in my database. CHURCH Some of them. COON Them too. GREENE Ditto. HALENBECK Who doen't have Hallenbecks? KIPP I think they snuck in from the Albany area and added an extra p to the name. MERRITT REED I tend to think of the Reeds as a Coxsackkie family, no? SNYDER VAN VLECK VOSBURGH Lots of Vosburghs. They seem to have arrived early on from Columbia County.
