Hi Janice - have you ever checked to see if your Brown has any connection to the Browns in the Beekman Patent across the river ? I have Browns in Greene County - Stace -for one buried in Coxsackie - He is the son of Josiah Brown - who is in the Beaches Corners Cemetery. My Browns were in that little corner of Dutchess County that once was a part of Putnam and perhaps Westchester before Greene County and before that in No. Salem - Westchester. As for years - my GGG Grandfather Melvin Brown - son of Josiah was born in 1772 (baptised Christ Church, No Salem) I found some very interesting notes in the information on the settlers of the Beekman Patent - saying that my Josiah - was the son of a Hackaliah - I know that my Josiah was from a large family and I don't have a lot - ok - almost none - information on his family - You might look at those books and see what you can find - good luck, Mark Brown JANB111@aol.com wrote: > also in Coxsackie > John David BROWN who m.
