Good Morning, So glad that you had a great trip to Europe and are back with renewed "vigor" You site is priceless. In reference to your offer to do research, I was wondering if you might be able to help me establish the location of my 5th great grandfather in Greene County. In 1813 Lynje DeLaMater wife of Cornelius VanDeusen inherited from her father Claude property in Coxsackie, right next to her brother Robert. I do have Cornelius in that area in 1810, but seem to lose them between the Will date and 1850! They were apparently married in Columbia County, but believe their principle residence was Coxsackie as they had atleast two children baptized there. Not sure what records are available there, but would appreciate if you could use your knowledge as to where to look. Thank you for your time, and please let me know if you would like the fee prior to your visit to the library. I can send you a check right away.. Thanks again, Linda VanDeusen-Kintzing Sylvia Hasenkopf <esi@francomm.com> wrote: Hello everyone. Back from vacation in Europe - had a great time! And ready to get back into posting material to the list and transcribing cemeteries. I''ll be heading to the Vedder Library to do some research the first Thursday evening and the first Saturday morning in August. As most of you know, I can do look ups for a modest fee. Family files, probate records, newspaper records etc. If anyone is interested, let me know. Many may be wondering - I use these fees to acquire new material for the site. Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! A Cornelius Vanhoesen appears in the 1820 census for Cairo and also in Lexington in Greene Co. There is also a Cornelius J. Vanhoesen in Hudson, Columbia Co. in 1820. I realize this spelling is not correct but that is the closest it came to VanDeusen when I did a search by first name only. In 1830 there is a Cornelius Vanhoosen in Windham and a Cornelius I. Van Deusen in Stuyvesant, Columbia Co. For 1840. Cornelius Vandeusen at Berne in Albany Co., Cornelius Vandusen in Palatine, Montgomery Co. (actually two there); Cornelius Vandusen at Nassau, Rensselaeer Co., Cornelius C. Vandusen at Claverack, Columbia Co., Cornelius Vanduser at New York City, Ward 13 1850 Cornelius Van Deusen in Claverack, Columbia Co. born about 1841, same spelling at Mohawk, Montgomery Co. born about 1800 and Cornelius C. at Claverack, Columbia Co. born about 1809. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Grstmll@yahoo.com" <grstmll@yahoo.com> To: <NYGREENE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, July 28, 2005 7:58 AM Subject: Re: [GREENE COUNTY] Vedder research > Good Morning, > So glad that you had a great trip to Europe and are back with renewed > "vigor" You site is priceless. > In reference to your offer to do research, I was wondering if you might > be able to help me establish the location of my 5th great grandfather in > Greene County. > In 1813 Lynje DeLaMater wife of Cornelius VanDeusen inherited from her > father Claude property in Coxsackie, right next to her brother Robert. Sandie, Thank you so much for the information and taking the time to look through the census records for me. Will check them out even if the name doesn't appear to be spelled correctly. Have found them listed as Van Densen, Duzen, Dorsen, etc so have to keep checking every clue.
